How did I get here?

How did I get into the state of seperation or divorce? This could be one of the questions you are asking yourself, because you did everything right: you prayed about everything, you got your parents' blessing, you went for pre-marital counselling, you were officiated publicly with all blessings declared upon you, your in-laws accepted you, everyhting was fine and, and, and??

Listen: you don't have to understand how you got here. There are things and situations you may never be able to understand, control or change. Accept that you are here, in this state/season and that's what it is a season. It is a chapter of your life which you will testify about one day. This season, whichever way you may describe it, is not permanent. It is not your identity or your dwelling. You don't belong in misery, shame, disgrace, dishonour, humiliation and anxiety - these are just feelings you may be experiencing but that's not your destiny. 

Let me remind you that you are not alone: I will never leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:8. With God the story always ends beatiful, He gives beauty for ashes. It may not feel like it but it's guaranteed. You are God's Special Girl
