Statistics, in South Africa, show that 80% of divorces recorded are from first time marriages. 43% of divorces recorded are from marriages who have less than 10 years of duration Preller, 2023. 54.8%of divorces are initiated by women.
Infidelity is one of the top reasons for divorces in South Africa. www.divorcelaws.co.za,2023 indicates that there is also a 31% decrease in civil marriages recorded in South Africa and generally a decline in marriages globally had been observed.
The above is an indication that we live in a society with people who are hurting, feeling betrayed, who can no longer trust others etc because of previous experiences (perceived or real) and majority of these are women. They are leading with initiating the divorces.
I would like to share my experience of divorce with women who are going through the season I was between the separation, divorce and when God finally restored me. I want to walk the journey with you, to assure you that you will be fine and that God still loves you despite the rejection, judgement, fear, loneliness, anxiety and probably depression.
I want to speak to and pray with a person who is faced with a similar situation but trusts God to turn it around because He can. God is still able to bring dry bones to life in any valley.
